Webinar: Social innovation in higher education institutions - 9-11AM (CET) / 8-10AM (BST)

Event from COST Action

Cost Action 18236: bringing together researchers, policy makers, practitioners and communities.

“On May 24, 2022, at 9 -11 AM CET / 8-10 AM BST we take the publication „Social Innovation in Higher Education – Landscape, Practices, and Future Opportunities” out for a spin and invite you to join us.

We take the book „Social Innovation in Higher Education – Landscape, Practices, and Future Opportunities” that is edited by Paunescu, Lepik and Spencer as an opportunity to discuss how higher education institutions (HEIs) can respond to societal challenges, support positive social change and influence the international public discourse on social innovation.

We will discuss how the present higher education system, in different countries, promote social innovation and create social change and impact. In answering this question, factors driving success as well as obstacles are identified. Some suggestions are offered about how the present system can be improved both based on existing data and international literature on social innovation in higher education.
