Social Innovation Connect
SI Connect aims to create a better, more connected UK social innovation ecosystem across the regions, with stronger transnational ties to Europe and beyond. It is a member of the European Social Innovation Alliance (ESIA), an EU-funded programme which is supporting the establishment of national social innovation 'competence centres' across Europe.
The project, at a national level, will work co-creatively on five strategic priorities:
Establishing SI Connect – by defining concepts and strategic activities including advocacy, capacity-building, communications etc.
Engaging with the Ecosystem – by working collaboratively with Associate Partners and other stakeholders to define gaps and needs, financial instruments etc.
National/Regional Strategies – by working with policymakers to characterise our approach, recommend actions and benchmark with transnational partners.
Quality Management and Monitoring – by working with social innovators to define impact metrics and monitor case studies, as well as SI Connect itself.
Replication and upscaling – by identifying and working with social innovations for potential replication and upscaling.
The European Social Innovation Alliance
SI Connect is a project that has been endorsed under the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) programmes. It is part of the ESIA (European Social Innovation Alliance), which is a partnership involving Germany, Estonia, Denmark, Poland and the UK. All the partners are developing similar national competence centre projects in their respective countries.
