Who we are

Social Innovation Connect (SI Connect) UK is a project initiated by the Research and Innovation Office at GCU (Glasgow Caledonian University).

GCU is one of the largest universities in Scotland with nearly 17,000 students. The University’s commitment to social innovation is reflected in and inspired by its motto, For the Common Good – especially by the University’s Chancellor and Nobel Laureate, Professor Muhammad Yunus, who set up the University’s leading research centre for the social sciences, the Yunus Centre for Social Business and Health.

Transnational partner

SIX (Social Innovation Exchange) supports GCU as the transnational partner.

SIX is a global organisation that believes collaboration and exchange can generate better solutions to the complex challenges facing the global community today. We harness the power of diverse insight and social innovation by uniting the best global innovators and examples to address local challenges in ways that optimise, rather than duplicate, effort.
